Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hart County Bulldogs (Hartwell, GA), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin County for a 3A Region 8 challenge on Thursday, September 15. Stephens County will face a Lions squad coming off a 5-3 league win over Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA). The Lions record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Hart County falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA) to face the Warriors in a 3A Region 8 challenge on Thursday, September 15. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 5-12. Oconee County lost 10-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Morgan County (Madison, GA)
