The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons volleyball team (Mooresboro, NC), was nudged 3-2 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC)

The Bulldogs (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors enter the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, East Gaston nipped Cherryville (Cherryville, NC), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Gryphons encounter the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 14. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Warhorses enter the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC).
