In Tuesday's league battle, the host Lakeside Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Newport Grizzlies.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Deer Park (Deer Park, WA). The Stags come into the 1A Northeast battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Deer Park lost by Freeman (Rockford, WA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Grizzlies clash with the Freeman Scotties (Rockford, WA) in a 1A Northeast battle, on Friday, September 16. Newport will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Scotties come into the battle with a 5-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Timberlake (Spirit Lake, ID).
