The Union Spartans held off the host Lakewood Leopards volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spartans now have a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rosewood for a Carolina 1A test on Thursday, September 15. Union will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league win over Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 6-3.

The Leopards (1-9) will now prepare for their test against North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Rebels enter the Carolina 1A test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, North Duplin was nudged by Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC), 3-0, in a league test.
