The West Jones Mustangs topped the host Laurel Golden Tornadoes volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's league test.
The Mustangs now have a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Jones for a Class 5 Region 5 test on Thursday, September 15. West Jones will confront a Braves team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Raleigh (Raleigh, MS). The Braves record now stands at 11-6.
The Golden Tornadoes (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The War Eagles enter the Class 5 Region 5 test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Wayne County was knocked off by Washington County (Chatom, AL), 3-1, in a non-league test.
