The Mathews Blue Devils volleyball team (Mathews, VA), was nudged 3-2 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting West Point Pointers (West Point, VA)

The Pointers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The enter the Tidewater challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Carver College and Career Academy was nudged by Charles City (Charles City, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA) in a Tidewater challenge, on Thursday, September 15. Mathews will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 3-0 league win over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA).
