Texas High School Volleyball - Wakeland over Newman Smith

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) and the host Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), saw Wakeland's volleyball squad beat Newman Smith by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Wakeland upgrades its record to 16-4 on the year. The Wolverines host Lone Star (Frisco, TX) to play the Rangers in a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, September 16. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 15-7. Lone Star won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Frisco (Frisco, TX)

The Trojans now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Reedy for a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, September 16. Newman Smith will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-1 league win over The Colony (The Colony, TX). The Lions record now stands at 12-10.
