Washington High School Volleyball - Ocosta overwhelmed by Raymond

In Tuesday's league battle, the host Raymond Seagulls volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Ocosta Wildcats.

The Seagulls (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Ilwaco (Ilwaco, WA). The Fishermen come into the 2B Pacific battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Ilwaco lost by Wahkiakum (Cathlamet, WA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Rainier Mountaineers (Rainier, WA) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, September 14. Ocosta will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Mountaineers come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Raymond (Raymond, WA).

Match Summary

Raymond served well tonight—17 aces / 93% as a team. This was a point of focus for us and we did a great job. We struggled with consistency a little in each game. Ocosta's strong servers disrupted our offense. In game 3 we got a lift from Cadence Swogger and Emma Glazier that shifted momentum to us so we could close out the match. Karsyn Freeman (10 Kills, 5 aces, 12 digs) had a solid all around performance. Alia Enlow had a strong offensive game (8 kills) and Kyndal Koski was strong defensively (20 digs and 3 aces).
