In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Avon Lake Shoremen soccer squad scored a close 3-2 win over the Steele Comets.
The Shoremen (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Harvey (Painesville, OH). The Red Raiders go into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Harvey was nudged by Champion (Warren, OH), 8-0, in a non-league battle.
