The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw Ashe County's volleyball squad beat Alexander Central by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Ashe County upgrades its record to 8-0 on the year. The Huskies host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, September 18. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Hibriten won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)

The Cougars now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Foard for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 14.
