In Wednesday's league battle, the host Mountain Island Charter Raptor soccer squad scored a close 6-2 triumph over the Langtree Charter Lions.
The Raptor (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals come into the Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Corvian Community by Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 1-0, in a league battle.
The Lions (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Pride come into the Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Pine Lake Prep nudged Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC), 4-0, in a league battle.
