The Villa Rica Wildcats softball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Midtown Knights to 0 in the Wildcats league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Villa Rica moves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Banneker (College Park, GA) to play the Trojans in a 5A Region 5 game on Thursday, September 14. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 0-8. Banneker lost 22-5 in their recent league game against Jackson (Atlanta, GA)

In their next game, the Knights play the Chapel Hill Panthers (Douglasville, GA) in a 5A Region 5 game, on Thursday, September 14. Midtown will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 11-4 record after their 10-0 league win over Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA).
