Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT) followers went home happy Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Amistad Wolves (New Haven, CT), 3-1 in a non-league game.

The Lions now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westhill for a non-league game on Friday, September 15. Bassick will meet a Vikings team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Southington (Southington, CT). The Vikings record now stands at 1-2.

The Wolves (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Pomperaug (Southbury, CT). The Panthers enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Pomperaug was dropped by Westhill (Stamford, CT), 3-2, in a non-league game.
