The Magoffin County Hornets volleyball team (Salyersville, KY), went down 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Prestonsburg Blackcats (Prestonsburg, KY)

The Blackcats (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY). The Bobcats enter the District 58 challenge with a 3-10 record. In their last challenge, Betsy Layne defeated Jenkins (Jenkins, KY), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets encounter the Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 14. Magoffin County will attempt to move on its 1-10 season record.
