In Friday's non-league game, the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) football team overcame the visiting Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX), by a tally of 42-21.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Celina Bobcats (Celina, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 20. Franklin will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Bobcats enter the game with a 3-0 record after their 38-7 non-league win over Gunter (Gunter, TX).
