North Carolina High School Football - Pinecrest holds off New Hanover

September 13, 2024: Wilmington, NC 28401

The Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) football tipped the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), 28-27 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Patriots now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Richmond for a 3A/4A Sandhills outing on Friday, September 27.

With the defeat, New Hanover drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a Mideastern 3A/4A outing on Friday, September 20. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 0-3. South Brunswick lost 48-23 in their recent non-league outing against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)
