In Friday's league outing, the visiting Arlington Memorial Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Poultney Blue Devils.

The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Long Trail (Dorset, VT). The go into the SVL-D outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Long Trail got by Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT), 2-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Blue Devils confront the West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) in a SVL-D match, on Thursday, September 19. Poultney will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Golden Horde come into the match with a 4-0 record after their 4-1 league win over Mill River (North Clarendon, VT).
