In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Newark Academy Minutemen volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Bloomfield Bengals.
The Minutemen (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Livingston (Livingston, NJ). The Lancers enter the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Livingston beat Verona (Verona, NJ), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bengals meet the East Orange Campus Jaguars (East Orange, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 16. Bloomfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Hillside (Hillside, NJ).
