In Friday's league match, the Martin Warriors (Arlington, TX) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX), by a final score of 3-0.

Next up, the Warriors confront the Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 match, on Tuesday, September 17. Martin will attempt to advance on its 17-10 season record. The Gophers enter the match with a 6-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX).

The Vikings (11-15) will now prepare for their match against Haltom (Haltom City, TX). The Buffalos go into the 6A Region I District 8 test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Haltom went down by Arlington (Arlington, TX), 3-0, in a league test.
