Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Redington Huskies (Wasilla, AK), 18-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Barrow improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Whalers host Homer (Homer, AK) to play the Mariners in a Mid Alaska battle on Saturday, September 20. The Mariners come into the test with a record of 5-0. Homer won 40-8 in their recent league test against Houston (Big Lake, AK)

With the defeat, Redington drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Kenai Central (Kenai, AK) to meet the Kardinals in a Mid Alaska test on Friday, September 19. The Kardinals go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Kenai Central won 39-6 in their recent league challenge against Kodiak (Kodiak, AK)
