Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Athens knocks off Galeton

Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Athens Wildcats (Athens, PA) and the visiting Galeton Tigers (Galeton, PA), saw Athens's soccer squad triumph over Galeton by a count of 6-0.
The Wildcats (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Towanda (Towanda, PA). The Black Knights enter the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Towanda was overwhelmed by Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA), 5-0, in a league match.
The Tigers now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Troy for a PIAA District IV-AA match on Wednesday, September 17. Galeton will meet a Trojans team coming off a 6-2 league loss to Williamson (Tioga, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-9.
