The Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Block Island (New Shoreham, RI), 6-2 in Saturday's league challenge.

The Chieftains now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Mt. Pleasant for a Division 3 challenge on Tuesday, September 16. Ponaganset will battle a Kilties team coming off a 3-1 league win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI). The Kilties record now stands at 1-3.
