Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) and the visiting Corry Beavers (Corry, PA), saw Oil City's soccer squad hold off Corry by a count of 2-1.

The Oilers (1-6) will now prepare for their battle against General McLane (Edinboro, PA). The Lancers enter the District 10 Region 5 battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, General McLane tipped Franklin (Franklin, PA), 11-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Beavers battle the Seneca Bobcats (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 battle, on Tuesday, September 16. Corry will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 1-0 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA).
