Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Emporia Spartans (Emporia, KS) and the visiting St. Mary's Academy Crusaders (St. Marys, KS), saw Emporia's soccer squad knock off St. Mary's Academy by a score of 4-2.

The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Hayden (Topeka, KS). The Wildcats enter the Centennial battle with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Hayden by Piper (Kansas City, KS), 8-0, in a non-league test.

The Crusaders now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Topeka for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 18. St. Mary's Academy will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 3-2.
