Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Illini Central (Mason City, IL). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Illini Central was tipped by Midwest Central (Manito, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Maroons meet the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Sabers enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL).
