College Prep Cougars (Oakland, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the host Urban Blues (San Francisco, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Novato (Novato, CA). The Hornets enter the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Novato was tipped by Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Blues meet the San Domenico Panthers (San Anselmo, CA) in a Bay Counties - West test, on Tuesday, September 16. Urban will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 3-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Carondelet (Concord, CA).
