Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL) and the visiting Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL), observed Deer Creek-Mackinaw's volleyball team top Normal West by a count of 2-0.

The Chiefs (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Williamsville (Williamsville, IL). The Bullets enter the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Williamsville was knocked off by Washington (Washington, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Champaign Central for a Big Twelve battle on Tuesday, September 16. Normal West will encounter a Maroons squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 1-10.
