The George C. Marshall Statesmen volleyball squad (Falls Church, VA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA)

The Grizzlies (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against StoneBridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league challenge with a 17-0 record. In their last challenge, StoneBridge got by Hampton Christian Academy (Hampton, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Statesmen meet the Frazier Commodores (Perryopolis, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. George C. Marshall will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record.
