In Saturday's non-league match, the Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA) volleyball team held off the visiting Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA), by a margin of 2-1.
The Braves now possess a 17-12 record. They play next when they travel to Newnan for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 16. Heard County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Etowah (Woodstock, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 17-8.
Next, the Tigers battle the Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) in a 3A Area 2 contest, on Tuesday, September 16. Troup County will attempt to move on its 8-7 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 5-14 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Jackson (Atlanta, GA).
