In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Savio Eagles volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Hyde Park Panthers.

The Eagles (12-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Grace Academy (Georgetown, TX). The enter the non-league challenge with a 12-2 record. In their last test, Grace Academy nudged Texas Wind (Waco, TX), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Andrew's for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Hyde Park will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Texas School for the Deaf (Austin, TX). The Highlanders record now stands at 19-6.
