The Independence Mustangs volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Union Knights to 1 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Marion for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 16. Independence will play a Wolves team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 7-6.
