The Johnston Dragons volleyball squad (Johnston, IA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA)
With the win, Nevada improves its record to 14-7 on the season. The Cubs travel to Roland-Story (Story City, IA) to encounter the Norsemen in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 18. The Norsemen go into the battle with a record of 10-5. Roland-Story lost 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against West Delaware (Manchester, IA)
The Dragons now own a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ankeny for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. Johnston will battle a Hawks team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Liberty (North Liberty, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 15-5.
