In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Malden Green Wave volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Oran Eagles.

The Green Wave (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Owensville (Owensville, MO). The Dutchmen enter the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Owensville was tipped by Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, MO), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Leopold Wildcats (Leopold, MO) in a Class 1 District 4 test, on Tuesday, September 16. Oran will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 8-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Central (Cape Girardeau, MO).
