Illinois High School Volleyball - Rochester over Taylorville

Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL) and the host Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL), saw Rochester's volleyball squad notch a victory over Taylorville by a score of 2-0.

With the win, Rochester improves its record to 9-1 on the season. The Rockets host Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to encounter the Cyclones in a Central State Eight battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Cyclones go into the battle with a record of 6-5. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL)

The Tornadoes now own a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mahomet-Seymour for a Apollo battle on Tuesday, September 16. Taylorville will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-1.
