In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Waverly Central Tigers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Stewart County Rebels.

The Tigers (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Henry County (Paris, TN). The Patriots come into the non-league outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Henry County was nudged by West Creek (Clarksville, TN), 3-2, in a league outing.

With the loss, Stewart County drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to McEwen (McEwen, TN) to play the Warriors in a non-league game on Monday, September 15. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 3-5. McEwen won 3-1 in their recent league game against Hickman County (Centerville, TN)
