The Golden Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA). The Wahawks come into the non-league challenge with a 5-7 record.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Cedar Falls Tigers (Cedar Falls, IA) in a Mississippi Valley-Mississippi test, on Tuesday, September 16. Washington will attempt to advance on its 1-16 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 9-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Johnston (Johnston, IA).
