The Pinole Valley Spartans held off the visiting Salesian College Preparatory Pride volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spartans now have a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethel for a Tri-County test on Thursday, September 16. Pinole Valley will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 3-1 league win over Albany (Albany, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-0.

The Pride (4-7) will now prepare for their test against St. Patrick-St. Vincent (Vallejo, CA). The Bruins enter the Tri-County test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, St. Patrick-St. Vincent was nudged by Saint Mary's (Albany, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
