Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers face the Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Thursday, September 15. Jersey will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record.

The Shells now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Breese Central for a Cahokia (Mississippi Division) challenge on Saturday, September 17. Roxana will face a Cougars team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 2-7.
