Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Red Devils confront the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge, on Monday, September 19. Newton-Conover will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 4-1 league loss to Bandys (Catawba, NC).

The Wolves now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Combine Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 16.
