South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders confront the West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) in a South Piedmont 3A challenge, on Monday, September 19. South Rowan will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Carson (China Grove, NC).

The Trojans now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Monday, September 19. Northwest Cabarrus will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 9-1 league loss to Concord (Concord, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-9.
