Colorado High School Softball - Palmer Ridge Air Academy

September 14, 2022: US Air Force Academy, CO 80840

Palmer Ridge Bears (Monument, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Air Academy Kadets (US Air Force Academy, CO), 11-8 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Cheyenne Mountain for a 4A Pikes Peak challenge on Monday, September 19. Palmer Ridge will battle a Red-Tailed Hawks squad coming off a 12-9 non-league loss to Canon City (Canon City, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Air Academy falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Kadets travel to Lutheran (Parker, CO) to battle the Lions in a 4A Pikes Peak challenge on Monday, September 19. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 13-1. Lutheran lost 9-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Windsor (Windsor, CO)
