In Thursday's league contest, the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Hornets battle the Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 19. Metcalfe County will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record.

With the loss, Russell County moves to 2-2 on the year.
