The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Widefield Gladiators (Colorado Springs, CO) and the host Coronado Cougars (Colorado Springs, CO), saw Widefield's softball squad nip Coronado by a count of 6-5.

The Gladiators now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine Creek for a match on Saturday, September 16. Widefield will face a Eagles squad coming off a 13-11 non-league win over Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Coronado falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO) to face the Cyclones in a non-league match on Monday, September 18. The Cyclones enter the match with a record of 4-0. Pueblo West won 15-0 in their recent non-league match against Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO)
