The Dixon Bulldogs held off the visiting West Carteret Patriots volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs now have a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Croatan for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 19. Dixon will confront a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-2.
The Patriots (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Swansboro held off Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
