The Russell County Lakers topped the host Metcalfe County Hornets volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's league test.

The Lakers now have a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Taylor County for a non-league test on Monday, September 25.

The Hornets (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Franklin-Simpson was knocked off by Logan County (Russellville, KY), 2-0, in a non-league test.
