The Pender Patriots volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Whiteville Wolfpack to 0 in the Patriots non-league victory on Thursday.

The Patriots now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Columbus for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 19. Pender will meet a Vikings team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-7.

The Wolfpack (1-9) will now prepare for their game against East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, East Bladen defeated West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
