In Thursday's league battle, the host Hoggard Vikings soccer squad scored a close 4-0 win over the North Brunswick Scorpions.
The Vikings (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Mount Tabor by East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 2-0, in a league battle.
The Scorpions (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Trojans go into the Mideastern 3A/4A battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, West Brunswick by Topsail (Hampstead, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.
