In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Portage Central Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 6-2 win over the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants.
The Mustangs (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Gull Lake (Richland, MI). The Blue Devils go into the Southwestern Michigan - East battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Gull Lake nipped East Lansing (East Lansing, MI), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
