Mississinewa Indians (Gas City, IN) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Maconaquah Braves (Bunker Hill, IN), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians face the Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN) in a Central Indiana challenge, on Friday, September 15. Mississinewa will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Wabash (Wabash, IN).

The Braves now have a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rochester for a Three Rivers challenge on Monday, September 18. Maconaquah will face a Zebras team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Tippecanoe Valley (Akron, IN). The Zebras record now stands at 3-6.
