The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN) and the visiting St. John's Prep Johnnies (Collegeville, MN), saw Melrose's soccer squad get by St. John's Prep by a margin of 2-1.

The Dutchmen now sport a 2-3 record. They play next when they host St. Cloud Cathedral for a Class A Section 8 test on Tuesday, September 19.

With the loss, St. John's Prep drops to 1-4 on the season. The Johnnies travel to Rocori (Cold Spring, MN) to meet the Spartans in a Class A Section 8 test on Monday, September 18. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 4-2. Rocori won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Hutchinson (Hutchinson, MN)
